I am hopeful that by the time my children have kids of their own it won't be anymore.

Her blog makes me laugh out loud - and the big metal chicken was good for tons of lulz!
I should say first and foremost that I think pot should be legalized and there is never in my mind a connection with someone who smokes and someone who's a low life. That said, I also work at a job where other people's safety depends on my ability to correctly perform my job.
No, I didn't miss that point - not in the slightest.
So you're actually defending someone's right to get high and drink on a lunch break while they're building equipment for our military because of someone else's wrong? Isn't 'two wrongs don't make a right' something we learned in preschool?
There are tall boy cans, 40oz bottles - at least eight different men drinking those wrapped in paper, not the same footage - beer in cups, and at least nine seperate shots of guys smoking what appear to my eyes to be pot.
From what I saw *a lot* of them were drinking. You don't have to be drunk to have a serious accident with machinery so any amount of alcohol is a big no no. Also the guy was passing his 'cigar' to his coworkers so maybe a few of them are smoking pot.
I've always appreciated your comments but in this case I'm really on the other side. Frankly no one I know drinks on their lunch breaks, including my father who happens to work with similar equipment as these men.
Thank you! I felt like I was in a twilight zone for a bit there with these comments about 'who cares' that they're drinking and getting high. I could care less what you do on your day off but regardless of the way it was reported that shit is wrong. Period.
Yes. Highly dangerous. Also I've had to put out a pretty major fire on which I was burned because a sober person was welding and accidentally caught an oxy acetylene tank on fire. I TIG weld myself and *I've* accidentally set something on fire - again totally sober.
Thank you - I think the fact that these guys are *smoking pot and drinking beer* on their lunch breaks is somehow getting lost here. I am really shocked at the amount of comments saying that this behavior is perfectly acceptable. It's not. For many reasons. The least of which is that I've had to pick up body parts…
Perhaps but the fact remains these guys are smoking pot and drinking alcohol on a lunch break. In what world is that okay? It's especially NOT okay when it involves putting safety equipment on vehicles in which my family members will be riding in during wartime conditions. Sorry but - no. Hell no.
I'm sorry but I happen to think that the guys who are building anything having to do with machinery shouldn't be drinking alcohol or smoking pot on their lunch breaks either.
My son is a redhead and it takes an army of dental assistants to hold him down long enough to gas him - and that's after anti-freakout meds prior to arrival.
Mine is that I have rather nice breasts. Thinking you win.
That thing looks like a cellar nozzle we use in firefighting. Orrrr a tiny hand with all the fingers cut off.
My son has Tourette's and his biggest tic is what I like to refer to as the Methed Out Woody The Woodpecker laugh but which he refers to as his evil scientist laugh. Either way it sounds a lot like this and comes out at the most interesting moments - makes even the most boring gatherings interesting!
I know - it comes off as if he's trying to disparage a rape victim and all women at the same time when in truth it was merely a joke about Elizabeth being a not very smart Republican. Granted he's not exactly the world's biggest feminist but I doubt even he would be so bold as to go after a woman who had just been…
Wonderful - save for the fact that the sexual assault hadn't occurred yet at the time he made his joke, thus your reading into it is based on fallacy.
Where, exactly, do you come up with the notion that he said someone - anyone - should be raped?
