My own reading copies look quite different. I grabbed those Berkley Dunes in a group a little over ten years ago at a book fair just because they were so nice. $2.50 each. I have some beauty Tolkien paperbacks too. Same thing, too good to pass up on a table full of books.
Looked these up later and these books are now worth many hundreds of dollars. Dune prices are insane. The Children of Dune hardcover is a second printing and has a little jacket issue and still is worth at least $300. Could be more because Book Clubs are going over $200. Book Clubs never go for that much. The trade…
