Crazy fight scene with R.G. Armstrong and Jeff Bridges. Looked dangerous as hell. Half the gym equipment gets thrown. Ebert said it is one of those movies you have no idea where it’s going next.

I’ve probably read Tai-Pan the most times. I have reread Shogun several times too and for a while there was a nice HD copy on Youtube. Several years ago I read all four again (Shogun, Tai-Pan, Noble House, King Rat.) Tai-Pan gets points for all the Struan lore. Aristotle Quance. The young Hag Struan.

Very good.  Truly.  Not comedy.  More grim.  Grey and Marlowe meet again in the book Noble House and it is a pretty intense scene.
