Very good.  Truly.  Not comedy.  More grim.  Grey and Marlowe meet again in the book Noble House and it is a pretty intense scene.

George Segal.  Good movie.

I agree.

The Citadel of the Autarch by Gene Wolfe. Number four in the Book of the New Sun series from the early 80s. Weird, wild stuff. Very good series.

Those were the only two Suzuki movies I’ve seen because the library had the Criterion. I have that old Branded to Kill DVD but I would like to see the upgrade. I know the library has the Tokyo Drifter Blu-ray now.

Tokyo Drifter. The library had a big selection of Criterion titles and I thought a Japanese crime film would be good. Ha. Not even five minutes in I was wondering what I had found. I went back and got Branded to Kill. Within a few days I was a big Suzuki fan. It was mind-blowing. Rarely happens to me with movies now.
