I think I read about him in the Videohound Cult Flicks book many years before I ever saw any of his movies. That’s why I pounced on these on the TV schedule.

Mean Mother (1974) was the other one playing. Found my old Al Adamson post from 2016. Mean Mother and Black Heat back to back.

Kinja is prejudiced against the Pulp Fiction reference. Maybe because it started in the Grey Zone. It has more recommends and replies than most above it.

It’s not a motorcycle, baby. It’s a chopper.

Hit Man, The Slams, Black Caesar.

I’ve seen a bunch of good obscure stuff on Bounce over the years. They usually play a couple on Saturday nights. TNT Jackson, That Man Bolt, Charley One-Eye. They even played a couple from Al Adamson: Black Heat and Black Samurai.

He was also in the weird crime flick, Little Cigars (1973).

Sounds like this scene from The Hot Rock (1972) with Robert Redford:

I thought Goldblum was a Mark Savage fan.

The Legend of Billie Jean (1985) Blu-ray from the library. Other than the terrible trailer park accents, very enjoyable. Helen Slater and Yeardley Smith also had a good commentary track.

Well, Iceman (1984), but it totally deserved it. He wanted to sacrifice himself so that his people would live, dammit.

I pretty much only use lamps in my house because overhead lights give me a headache. The bathroom light over the john is the one that is a pain because it is in a little alcove off to the side. Just getting the ladder in the bathroom takes some maneuvering and shin-banging. That is one I probably should have changed

I did hoard and am down to my last three boxes, but I do have to get the ladder out every time, and it is a pain in the ass.

Best sentence in baseball.

Big Rig and Jesse.

Oddly enough I used that for a DVD/Blu-ray buying trip earlier in the week.
