I’m reminiscing over Family Ties all right.

I knew the title and the box but I had to watch a video to remember the game play and the sound effects. This was probably one my friend had and I didn’t have. Three of us all had different games.

Ha. I’m old.

In this case, the fool. Very diluted.

That is disappointing on so many levels.

Indeed.

I always do it dot dot dot space. Can’t break the habit of double space either.

Specifically just how to type it in correctly. I am getting conflicting information. Is it...like this? Three dots, no spaces. Is it ... like this? That doesn’t look right. Is it . . . like this? Space in between.

Can you explain the proper use of ellipses? Looked it up yesterday and it only made me more confused. I was flashing back to honors algebra class, where I was completely lost. I have resolved to stop using them, like the semicolon, due to the confusion.

More Hulk. I would love it to show up in the Popular Stories in the middle of the night.

My first comment on io9 in a long ass time. I wanted something momentous and meaningless. Hans was so damn mad he went and made an account just for this three year old sarcastic post. It’s those little gifts Kinja gives that almost makes it worthwhile.

Three years later Hans rips louie a new one.

That's correct. They were known generically as tracer guns. Star Trek was an early tie-in.

This is the plastic disc gun that I had that I liked. Those little things would shoot far and you could load a bunch.

Ha. Chutes Away. Dumb luck.

Now playing

Found the one I was thinking of. Vertibird by Mattel. I know I had one now after looking at the controls but I don't know which set. I bet I was young. Mid-70s. I loved S.W.A.T. but that was later.

For some reason the thing that stands out about that toy was the plastic discs. I am probably conflating some other 70s toys that shot plastic projectiles because I had a few.
