Chandler's vintage paperbacks are very collectible and some of them can be worth a decent amount.
The Short-Timers is such a great book. I found a first edition at a library sale for a quarter.

Tuf Voyaging when he has to kill his cat. Made me so mad. Tempered only slightly by knowing something very bad was going to happen to those responsible.
Was it one of the Leakeys who ran down rabbits by watching the ears? I know I read that somewhere but I can't find confirmation in limited searching. An anthropologist found that you had a 50% chance of catching the rabbit by anticipating the turn and guessing left or right. Google has failed me.
