My Lenovo laptop came with a similar feature. Variable lighting conditions made it almost unusable at certain times of the day, even outside low-light scenarios where it never worked properly. The only time I could get it to reliably work was when I held up a picture of me from my wallet.

I didn't see the blood bit as being a problem if he was a "Tourney Knight". That fits with how he said in the episode that Robert won't consider him a real man till he kills someone in battle, or whatever the line was.

The weird thing is GRRM said on his blog that he thinks most fans loved the Renly/Varys exposition scene. For me it was the low point of the episode. Not the best episode overall for me, in part because of the breaks from the book.

Does the bottom photo look weird to anyone else? I can't figure out what's going on below and to the left of the person's left hand. Not saying it's shopped, just that something looks off...

These are standard at Jack in the Box in southern California now. They're great mainly because you know that your order will at least be placed correctly with no danger of "Oh, you said no cheese? I thought you said extra..."

Holy math fail batman. 4990 BC to 2011 AD is 7001 years not 7000.

Then you're silly and should have paid more attention in physics class. This is not how magnets work. Inverse square law means that the force of the magnet increases dramatically as you get closer to it. You can't make something hover freely below the magnet. If the force is strong enough to bring the balls that far

Apple received a design patent on the iPhone 4 which includes the steel band.

You bring the battle axes I'll bring the booze.

Actually no, pretty sure that's a design patent rather than a trademark, which is one word FYI...

No, he shouldn't be. The man did kill 3,000 people after all. I understand that you're being sarcastic, but it's uncalled for. As reprehensible as the man's actions were, Marcelo is right. He was still just a man.

Imagine my surprise when I came into the office today and found one of these bad boys on my desk. Little excited, but also a little intimidated. Never worked with an Arduino before...

Well, two people could still recline facing the same way if they sat on the same side. Also, four people could sit facing the same direction with two on one side reclining and the other two sitting at the table normally. Ideal for fireworks and the like I'd imagine.

This was hands down the best episode yet. They did a phenomenal job of capturing things, and when they did stray from the book it was for the better.

And the water it pumps goes... where exactly?

Ummm... no. First off, the ferrate needs to be used almost immediately after it is manufactured. This process can't be used in places without sufficient infrastructure. Moreover, the scale required for this to be practical is found at water treatment plants. It isn't practical for someone treating water for personal

They're coming outta the walls. They're coming outta the goddamn walls!

I would hardly call the mountain clans or Dragonstone semi-kingdoms. Dragonstone bends the knee directly to king's landing, and the mountain clans to the Vale, though Jon Arryn has been lax about enforcing it.
