My old 93 Eddie Bauer Explorer had ABS, so I’d think it would be reasonable to guess a Grand Cherokee would too. But that Explorer ABS was absolute garbage on slick roads, the pedal would lock up and the system would make a terrible buzzing sound while you only slightly slowed down.

I’ve got to work on an “electric” fuel shark!

I got all excited when I heard about this motor, then I got a look at it. Looks way too tall to fit into a 60 series Land Cruiser without a spring over axle swap. They couldn’t figure out a skidplate to make the motor work in a Z71? They would be kind of big for the trails, but a 33mpg off road ready SUV would be

Retouched or not that’s a lot of scratch for a car that debuted for under $70k, over a decade ago...

That was an AMC Matador coupe. I think this is from Man With a Golden Gun.

It’s common knowledge that intensive government involvement NEVER fucks things up.

A take so hot I’d bet you had to type it with oven mitts on.

The people you speak of have bought everyone they need to to keep doing what they are doing. Even the ones you’ll eventually vote for.

I was getting some pretty heavy Chicago/Peter Cetera vibes from it. It was completely lost on the Mrs. (who’d lost interest in the movie) and the daughter (who thought singing reindeer were the best part.)

So what is a 56 year old guy in a Kentucky trailer park going to bring to the table that is the missing piece to the solution? A lot of people aren’t old enough to appreciate the progress made in the US in the last 40 years. Acid rain used to be a thing in metropolitan areas. For the most part, your eyes won’t burn

China doesn’t believe it’s a problem.

Will they offer one that doesn’t look like a microwaved marshmallow?

Less a Taurus, and more like a Chrysler 200 with Mercedes fascias. I guess this could be the Hellcat 200.

You acted as if it wasn’t possible to get that kind of power out of a 351 Cleveland, I said it wasn’t. I never suggested there was a production motor rated at more than 400hp.

The 429 Super Cobra Jet was “rated” at 375 horsepower by Ford for insurance purposes. They were well north of that. One of my friends bought a 70 Torino Cobra Jet while we were in the Marines, and even after sitting a few decades that motor pulled like it was a lot closer to 500 horsepower. 400 horsepower out of a 351

Ugly will sell, for a decade or so. Toyota was printing money with the Prius.

I’m a little skeptical on a Cyber Quad. One of the things that keep a YFZ450 or Banshee falling out of the sky on top of you is the fact that you can hear them for a good half mile before you see them. I could see this thing silently cresting a dune and landing on top of a bunch of camp chairs and a Webber tailgater

If I hit the Mega Millions tonight I’ll order it immediately, I’ll even bring it down to the Spring Mountain track and let you wring it out.

I dig the camp setup, but I’m not sure I want an enclosed bed. That quad sure does seem to make the back end squat, did they poach engineers from Chevy to do the suspension?

The UAW kind of sounds like it’s game plan was written by Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coltraine at this point. I’d hate to be paying dues to that dumpster fire if I was a big three employee.
