$2,000 would have bought you a decent 350 in 1986, lol.

So your a master engine builder who is comfortable building forced induction grenades by boosting anemic 80's V8s with stock cast internals. Got it.
That’s not cheaper than a LS swap, lol. Have you paid for forged internals, a decent non ebay turbo, an effective management system, and a tune?
Because you could have had 150hp instead of 245!
The differences between a 500 horse mouse motor and a 500 horse LS are pretty staggering. The LS will happily chug along at residential speed limits, where an old small block will try to burn itself down unless you went all in on a radiator and good electric fan setup. The small block would probably have to be cammed…
LS is aluminum and probably weighs at least 300 pounds less than the all cast iron 305. So there would be the benefit of improving the balance of the car as well as getting a motor that would hold together at 500 horsepower if you decided you needed that much.
No low ballers, I know what I have.
I want to see a version of LOTR with Queens Gandalf so fucking bad now.
I was just lighting my torch when I read that the full time AWD would probably be a Sahara only feature. The torch is extinguished for now, but I’ll head out to the shed to sharpen the pitchfork just in case.....
Yeah, but that was okay. She is a pretty, blonde, white lady who works for Fox.....
I didn’t buy it to spend my time on roads.
The guy mentioning DYI types could be a way around that, then you’d be able to register it as a kit. Some states all it needs to be a kit is to be sold without the motor installed.
Is it a 304 or 345? I grew up riding around in old Internationals, Scouts, pickups, and Travelalls. You can actually find some hot rod parts for the 345, or at least you could a decade or so ago.
This looks to have BF Goodrich KM2s on it, which are pretty aggressive tires. I’d hope their 200 mile range figure is with those tires, they probably figure on the thing not doing highway speeds all that much too. When I’m up in the hills in my Land Cruiser 35 miles an hour is booking it pretty good.
We live in a world were people routinely spend $30,000 for optioned out Polaris side by sides. As for being street legal it would probably depend on your state laws, Nevada is pretty lax as long as you have proper lighting.
Well, we do have a single payer, government funded healthcare system. It’s the VA (heard anything good about them lately?) My brother, who had a well documented shoulder injury during his time in the Marine Corps had to wait 7 years for the surgery to fix it, I’ve had guys I was in with wait over 10 years to have…
Mayweather’s fights are absolutely boring because of Mayweather. Watching a guy counter punch, then bob, weave, and backpedal for 3/4 of a round for 12 rounds isn’t exciting. He might be the best defensive boxer to have ever lived, but he’s not exciting to watch in the least bit. He’d better not slip up and let…
I’d very much love to find one of these, but it seems like everyone I find that pops up for sale is a complete roach. A 87 or 88 Turbocoupe would do nicely as well.
I’ve always liked the R33 the best. A midnight purple R-33 GT-R is one of my dream cars.
Japan still won’t admit to using sex slaves in countries it conquered, they might hesitate to admit they captured, killed, or otherwise abused one of the most famous women in the world.
