@dculberson: A spare kept in the glove box no less. 944's are one of my favorite Porsches, but they aren't cheap to own and repair.

@AustinMiniMan: That's pretty cool, if I was going to do a Cobra replica I think I'd want a 289 rather than a 427.
@AustinMiniMan: That may be somewhat true for the 289 Cobra, but nobody copies it. There are were significant changes made by Shelby when they made the 427 Cobra, even though it's Ace DNA is clearly visible. I still think the courts got it right, I wouldn't expect to get something trademarked over 30 years after first…
@maximum_sarge: The government doesn't make any money if they do that, and thats pretty much it.
Amazon sent me an email this afternoon telling me to expect my copy of GT5 in my hands on the 31st of December. Time shall tell.
@pj134: Looks to be a Camaro seat to me.
@GasGuzzler: The thing is, for the same price you can get a much faster GT500, (and soon a Z/28) or a Mustang GT, or Camaro SS for much less. I saw some asshat in the local wheels & deals asking $41k for a SRT8 Challenger with 17k miles on it. The Challengers are achingly gorgeous, but your money gets you more…
It's too bad Knoblick won't end up in prison to be someones "gal" and "driven like a little old lady" only to be left crumpled with fluids running out of him.
If I got the Bimmer motor in good condition along with it I'd have t0 think about it, but as it stands now I vote CP.
@VeeArrrSix: Am I the only one who looks at that picture and thinks "Sloth loves Chunk!!"?
@dculberson: It's a 69 with a front air dam for racing. The fenders hood and grill are 69 for sure, and the "hips" of the rear fenders are another giveaway.
@Kotobuki: I forgot the JDMFTW factor. Add a jibberish kanji decal down the side and nothing stands a chance.
I can see not wanting to cut into the new tC's sales, but simply upping the price isn't goint to do the FR-S any favors when there are a cornucopia of choices that will very likely out perform it in that price range. Then the rumors of a top of the line, possibly turbocharged FR-S starting at $29k? Did nobody tell…
@grzydj: But there are better cars for less. Someone mentioned the V6 Mustang already, and I'll bring up the V6 Camaro and Genesis Coupe also in (or below) that price range.
Awesome article, my aunt has a white over black 69 Eldo her and my late uncle bought new. I'm hoping I can talk her into selling it to me.
It was my dad, mostly, and the corral of Mustangs and other pony and musclecars. I spent my youth riding in first generation Mustangs, Cougars, second generation Chargers, Camaros and Grand Prix, and for a short while a early 70's Ranchero. Growing up in the golden age of car centric shows helped solidify it.
I loved the Cappuchino and Beat during my time in Japan, but the most prevelant Kei car seemed to be the Wagon R, they seemed to be everywhere you looked.
I'd hit it, but I have a soft spot for the II's. The King Cobra is a bit of a rarity (hell even the regular Cobra II's are getting hard to find.) and they are among the lightest cars Ford ever produced with a V8. About $1,000 later into the motor and you can easily double the cars power and sneak up on plenty of…
@Baby Beater Benz: When I was in Rachel last year the gas station had been shut down. One drawback to speeding on 375 (at night anyways) is the cattle tend to congregate on the roads to enjoy the stored heat. I saw an older Canadian couple destroy a Crown Vic running into one. Something to consider, especially since a…
Anyone mention the 'busa motor? 1.3 liters and the better part of 200hp are nothing to sneeze at. I also can't think of another bike motor off the top of my head that gets swapped into cars.
