Cheers to engineering awesomeness!

Somewhere, a ‘STICK TO SPORTS!!1!!1!’ Deadspin commenter sits in front of a computer screen, sweating, unable to move, broken.

The solutions are in front of us, we already have them. We took 30 years off building nuclear plants to make the asshole environmentalists happy. Now we have like 5 or 6 being built when only 20% of our energy comes from nuclear energy.

Doctor: “ok how do you spell your name?”

The Selectric was a fine machine, and an amazing piece of technology. I can still hear its clattering song and see its tireless type ball magically twisting and turning. Seriously, anybody who typed for a living on a manual knew the agony of those cuts that opened up under the nail after hours of pounding. You had no

Only if I can read your reply in a Chewbacca voice.

I for one wish this fellow many happy returns.

I would like to know more.

Reminds me of one of the best instances of revenge I’ve ever been part of -

I remember this moment in Avatar when Sigourney Weaver used a 1 ml Eppendorf pipette (‘P-1000’) to transfer some glowing blue gunk in the background of a scene. She inverted the pipette while she was moving it around, which in real life would cause the blue gunk to flow into the barrel of the pipette, contaminating it

I don’t get that though. Aren’t test pilots supposed to be among the best in their field? It’s not like they’re strapping rookie pilots to the thing and telling them to go have fun with it.

Thank you. Actually got turned down for an internship at ILM....

You need to put in a resume at Lucasfilm. Stat.

when i was talking to my friend about this....I was like “Consider this instead...

As a CCW license holder in my state...I completely agree. However, there has to be a happy middle ground to this. I don’t like having to prove “necessity” to carry a weapon, but I certainly think there should be aptitude testing (basically knowing what the hell you are doing...basic marksmanship, a primer on local

That’s actually one of the things I have with current carry laws/licensing. It’s like they seriously think one or two days of class makes someone qualified both in shooting and in decision-making.
It doesn’t.
