So I need to show my credentials? My point is that Barca seem like the most intimidating side, but other big name teams with enough talent and speed have learned how to beat them.

I'll throw in my two cents, and will preface by saying that, for what it's worth, I'm a die-hard Real Madrid fan. I still think Barca is the most intimidating side in the world to face at the moment, even more than teams like Man U, Bayern Munich, or Real Madrid. Their style, numbers, stars, and recent trophies -

I think they were not covering too far right because of the possibility that a lefty would come up and take it quickly. It's stupid not to assume that Suarez would take it considering the position, and the keeper was not in a great position to start and hesitated to get to the right after the kick. It's a tough

Thankfully, they're still out on away goals, so I can continue to bask in the schadenfreude.

Jesuit Tigers FTW! Are we still good?

I saw a game at the Maracana stadium in Rio a few years ago, and it's still the greatest live sporting event I've ever seen. Can't wait to go back for the WC.

I know, I saw Botafogo v Vasco de Gama at the Maracana a few years ago, and it remains the most amazing live sporting event I've ever seen because of how crazy the crowd was. I'm going to the WC, and I can't wait.

Belgium are great players, but they're all so god damn dirty and easy to hate.

Fair enough, that's a lot of goal scorers. But I feel like Brazil has a better midfield than Argentina to set up their attackers. I wouldn't want to face either of them though, so I'm hoping the US gets in a group against New Zealand, China, and Cyprus.

Between Hulk, Oscar (who saved Chelsea's ass beautifully yesterday), and Neymar, I'd be terrified to face Brazil at WC14. They've got to have the most attacking fire power of any international team at the moment, right?

Can we get a UCL open thread for this afternoon's games?

Do you agree that Gregg Easterbrook is a haughty dipshit?

Is it too late to pay Del Bosque a fortune and poach him from Spain?

We do, but for whatever reason, Cherundolo wasn't called up and Boca was on the bench. Omar Gonzalez is shit.

Judging by USMNT play today, it looks like I'll be getting my deposit back for the trip to the 2014 WC.
