I'd take a bland answer over a sophmoric, condescending remark that some head execs seem to make from time to time.

You can still do digital download correctly. Read: Don't fucking include DRM. :)

Is this confirmed to be hackers, or more specifically this George Hotz person? Sorry, I'm slightly out of the loop with this crap.

I had the same thought as I was watching this. :(

Kojima-san doesn't have to make Metal Gear any more.

Ooooohh! Ahhhh! Yes!

We require more oil! Oh, wait...what...?

BOOM! HYPOCRISY!

Agreed. The demo is a poor testimony to the game's awesomeness. Play campaign, anarchy mode, etc. and then make your comment. :)

I'd love to hear your examples of these clones that were better than the original product.

@Alicemagic

@wocalax: Haha, that's exactly what I was thinking. Oh, the tease!

What really grinds my achievement/trophy-garnering gears is when, not only do you have to obtain a multiplayer achievement that involves a lot of multiplayer matches and multiplayer kills, but is also bugged a la Gears of Wars' Seriously 1.0; you keep pounding at it incessantly while at the same time feeling like

@CloserDivision: Except that's a misconception. Just because Europe's economy is stronger doesn't mean that they can afford to pay more. Actually, it's become the exact opposite. With inflation and prices high, and wages unaltered, they can't afford these items daily.

@mintycrys is on an UBER STREAK!: Yeah, I go to Greece a lot, so I see the game prices and you would think that. Must be a lot of factors that influence the price; but like someone else said, they seem to strike out the dollar sign and add a euro sign not really caring about parity thereby screwing consumers.

While I agree that there is definitely a demand for physical media for reassurance issues to the consumer, the idea that digital download might become more popular or the norm within a few years is definitely foreseeable; I think Hirai is blinding himself from this fact.

@Krackato-ATOMIC COLLIDER!: The problem is the thought process that goes into this. Producers/retailers feel it necessary to play this exclusive content game to start a bidding war. Who's content do you want the most or who has the better deal? You go with them.
