Either your friend is playing a very deep satire game, or she is an idiot. It is time to tell her the truth, because this is not helping her with her students.
Next on his vendetta list—The Onion! Did you know most of their stories aren't even TRUE?!
I really hope Colbert responds to this with the most outrageous selective editing possible.
Generally, an image belongs to a photographer IF the subject signs a release allowing the photographer to use the image for commercial purposes. That doesn't mean that a third party has an unlimited right to use an image for their commercial purposes.
I think this proves that Colbert's show is working. It entertains liberals and annoys conservatives. Well done.
Remote-control clickbait for the Geritol generation.
Nope. They are using her image. If you think otherwise, take a picture of a celebrity, print them on T-shirts, and try to sell them. Have fun.
In any other case, I would think this was a poorly played stunt for attention, but in Kurtz's case, I think he is actually a complete idiot.
Good Goddess! Just wait until he finds out Colbert isn't even a "real" republican! He'll probably have a stroke.
Hey, he's done more for news than any real anchor on Fox News has. His destruction of Mike Brown post FEMA was pretty amazing, and his takedown of Bush (I am still beyond lost as to how he got to do that) was amazing. No one on Fox News has that going for them.
Irony, thy name is "a fox news host".
Responding to a satirist with harrumphy self-importance typically goes really, really well.
A Fox News host is angry about things being taken out of context and selectively edited? Colbert is going to have a field day with that.
Not to mention how 911 calls are public and jurors can sell their stories to the press...it's messed up.
I don't know if every town does this but around here they put together these 'joke' newspapers with a collection of all the recent mugshots, complete with extremely insulting captions and a ton of details about when the people were arrested and why. Every filling station has a pile of them for sale near the register.
I don't get why these photos are released to the public in the first place. It happens before a trial even. The police are disgusting
Yeah, that's a big red flag to me too.
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...new MySpace page?
