The real deal is that they are sexists that want to inhibit the freedom of women. The ability to control when and how we reproduce is probably the greatest factor in women moving up the career ladder and in when we choose to marry, if at all. Stripping us of that right will send us straight to the home, where they

Came here for the Malibu Barbie.

This is a wonderful love letter to two of my favourite films. Gomez and Morticia are GOALS.

Joan Cusak BRINGS IT in the second film and if there were one scrap of justice in this bleak world she’d have won an Oscar for her portrayal.

“Take a chill pill, vagina havers. No, seriously, it’s the only pills I’m allowing you women things to have,” the Kasich said.

I love the Addams family and the Munsters. I hold them up as a paragon of the loving and supportive family units to my wife (she just shakes her head). As I’ve gotten older, I definitely aspire to some traits that Gomez and Herman display, namely the enthusiasm for life and family, fast motion, constant support of

Joan Cusak is a treasure and I cannot count how many times I have watched the 2nd one (the first is good, but given a choice I always pick the second). It is my sick in bed go to comfort movie food.

And has there ever been a finer evocation of passion than the tango/paso doble/dance of sheer insanity shared between Morticia and Gomez?

My favorite part of the finale is realizing that Pugsley had been electrocuted in one of those electric chairs in the first movie: the Addamses aren’t in any danger. They’re just playing along and being polite when Fester’s wife ties them up and threatens them and waves a gun around. The reason “Debbie wasn’t an

My father has always said that the relationship between Gomez and Morticia is the truest romance ever put on screen. I thought it was a joke at first, but he was completely serious, and completely correct. To the point that I realized, many years into adulthood, that the occasional words my mother said in French

I love the response to that rant too, where Morticia is completely understanding. That’s another thing I find so charming about this movie—the Addamses don’t hate Debbie, they just want Fester back. I think they sorta like and admire her, actually.

I miss Raul Julia so much. I saw him play the lead in Man of La Mancha and it was one of the best Broadway performances I ever saw ... and that includes Robert Guillaume as Phantom and Eartha Kitt in Timbuktu.

I was a BALLERINA! Graceful. Delicate.

My “pastels” are insipid and banal words or phrases one buys at crafty places and hangs on the walls, like “Family” or “Joy.” If a SO tried to hang such things in my home, that’d be a dealbreaker.

I was 10, and you know what they got me? MA LI BU BARBIE!

I concur with all of this. The Addams Family movies are brilliant.
