For what it's worth FOX just recently filed a new trademark for Best Damn Sports Show Period so it's likely that it is coming back.

Petty Enterprises didn't run the #43 for a year or two after Richard retired, they leased the number from NASCAR but just didn't run it. Though Richard got tired of people asking him about if/why his number was retired so he decided that they'd start using it again.

When I think of the #3 in NASCAR I think of "Ole Blue" in the NASCAR Modified Division (NASCAR's oldest series) which is a number/team competition that has been used longer in NASCAR (57 straight years) then the RCR #3 and it's actually like only 2nd to the Wood Brothers #21 in the entirety of NASCAR.

They are not advertising them as being 12" they are advertising them as being a "footlong", not 1 foot (or feet) long. Also "1 foot" has not always been (nor currently is) 12 inches in length everywhere in the world, it can range from like 10" to 14" depending on what part of the world you are in, just like a Gallon…
