I think something like a HTPC would do the trick for you. Connect it to the AUX or EX (for external, not ex-girlfriend!) of your stereo-set and you'd be set to go.

I actually END my day with cleaning up at work. Everything cleaned, no more coffee stains etc. Just a few minutes. Knowing the following day, I find a clean workspace.

I actually simply use the random-generated code from T-Mobile.

Never used that, got the audio via my mixer ;)

There's one cable (the one I'm using) missing from the list. the DVI to HDMI cable. This one quite simply connects a DVI-out to an HDMI in for the TV. Works like a charm, most systems (including Ubuntu) auto-recognizes the TV and gives an adviced resolution.
