you learn pretty quick. I built my first gaming pc last year, and while I'm still learning, if something goes wrong (Which it has... twice), I feel pretty good about getting in there and fixing it.

It kinda comes down to how close you want to match.

Maybe 30 years ago building a car and a PC was comparable, but now building a car is far from attainable for the average person.

I'm far more practical — price, price, price. I build a gaming PC because I'm too cheap to buy a prefab of the same specs. If I could pay less for a pre-built system of the exact parts I want, I wouldn't even hesitate!
