To be fair, not all Gamestop employees are like that. There are several Gamestops in my area and there is only one I usually go to, due to the fact that the employees generally (in my experience) don't shove all that in your face. Occasionally you get the "Want to pre-order anything?" bit, but I've never had one drag

The original Gameboy Advance was pretty sturdy too, not sure if it could survive a fire like the one in the picture did, but my neighbor's GBA survived (for the most part) a mini van parking on top of it. He left it in a really stupid spot in the garage (my parents garage) while we were playing Capture the Flag with

Yeah it is Microsoft's policy, which I hate. The only game I know of that you can play online without Gold is Final Fantasy XI, which it got the privilege back when it got ported to the 360 in 2006 or 2007, but they had a special deal with Microsoft for that, which no other MMO was able to get on the platform (likely

Actually it's a bit different than that. Internet access today is pretty much a necessity for school, work, information gathering, entertainment, and what have you, so I put that in the utilities group of payments, leaving everything else "free" on the internet to be a perk of having internet access. XBL Gold, on the

I know, you're paying for service to be able to pay the game.

Actually, I'd rather online play be free rather than pay monthly (or annually since you can pay for 12 months). The perks of XBL Gold don't really justify the price for me, and if I can play games online for free on PC or PSN, why pay for XBL Gold to listen to kids yell in my ear in an FPS or idiots send me messages

Whoops my mistake there lol, meant to put "or not" at the end of that. My brother wants to get Wild Arms off of PSN anyway so I may try it then. Until then Tales of Symphonia is the best in my opinion, and I've played quite a few JRPG's in my day .

So it's not really free then is it? Seeing as how you have to be a gold member to play.

I can't say Wild Arms is the best game ever as I haven't played it or any game in the series (didn't have a PS1 when I was a kid, though I have one now lol). For me - best game ever is Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube.

How is the PS3's existence hurting it's customers? Because people buy the console and it's games? Can't you say that about any console's existence?

I'm one of those players who just mutes almost anyone with a mic (almost being excluding friends and non-disruptive talk, I also rarely use my mic) and find the pointless banter of "unpleasant" players on the mic annoying, stupid, and meaningless (which is why the mute function of online multiplayer is great). Have

I think the image is based more on Dr. Slump than Dragonball (and if it is based on Dragonball, it's more on DB than DBZ).

Just checked out the new commenting system and all I have to say is... wtf?

I was quoting what the original commenter, TStumpMan, said ( "But Now FFXI has no excuse for looking...crappy." ). The game looks good to this day, especially if you make the textures a higher resolution (either through regedit or through the ffxi options).

Most people are in Abyssea or Port Jeuno on the Bismarck server. Usually at least 2000 people on when I log in.

I know, and you don't even need regedits anymore (unless you want super large textures for less jaggies). They finally added the option to change the resoultion of the textures and whatnot (though I regedited mine), I just don't have the draw distance hacks =p

Went to the official site and it's definitely not green mage >.> Great sword and magic? Already have dark knight and paladin so I'm stumped.

Hmm I wonder what jobs those are? Looks like there's two, I'm guessing one may be Geomancer, but the other? *thinks through FF jobs* Green Mage? (though White Mage, Red Mage, Bard, and Scholar are already quite good at buffs).

Because FFXI is still running fairly strong (especially considering it's from 2001). I still play XI, I was hoping we'd get a new expansion as well, our last expansion (Abyssea) really f**ked the game up.
