I literally laughed out loud. Actual laughter produced. I sure as hell did mine wrong, too!

I was spanked as a child - very rarely and only when time outs, talking, yelling...every other kind of discipline didn't work. We do the same with our kids - it's very rare, though. I would say this entire year we've spanked exactly twice (2 boys, 4 and 5). I think when kids are still very young it's an appropriate

They may have covers like that, but the letters to the editor's two months later are outraged that they put someone like Justin Bieber on the cover. Vanity Fair is pretty hard-hitting journalism. Their articles are like this:

Vanity Fair is in no way a women's magazine. In fact, I would say that most of their pieces are aimed more at men.

Vanity Fair is in no way a women's magazine, though.

Hmm. Am I the only one who can't figure out how to actually look at the full infographic? There are no links, and you can't maximize the pic...

OK, that makes sense. I don't ever say, "You have such beautiful brown skin, or beautiful white skin," or whatever. I'm pretty much just talking about the smoothness or clearness of skin; I don't even see the color. I just think clear, smooth skin is beautiful, regardless of the shade.

Haha, yeah, I definitely posted that before I saw the poster saying that family is from a TV show and that is, in fact, Dax. :)

How is that NOT Dax Shephard.

Being adopted, I'd give almost ANYTHING to have an answer to that question. Maybe it's not fair, but to hear how pissed off some of you get being asked that makes me really, really mad.

OK, touching...that's just crazy. Why do people ever think it's OK to touch someone they don't even know?!

Well...yes. I'm in my 30s now, but until a few years ago people complimented my complexion regularly. (I'm adopted so I don't know my exact nationality, but I am definitely Caucasian-looking - most people assume Italian). I have complimented the skin color of all types of people; I never realized I was offending

Absolutely.

THIS RIGHT HERE for petites as well. Just because I'm short doesn't mean I want to look like a grandma when I get dressed! What the hell!

What? YOU called her a racist. If anything, Blanket pointed out that this is something upper-class white women do. You are the one who started talking about Mongolia. I mean...are you even paying attention?

You are just way out of line. She didn't attack YOU, your family, your grandmother, whatever. Get off your high horse. Just because you come from a family that does the things Blanket doesn't like doesn't mean she's personally attacking YOU.

I think what a lot of people here are misunderstanding is that ennepemoiomusa isn't against breast feeding, co-sleeping, or any of that - she's against doing those things SOLELY because you're told - by a man, no less - that if you don't, something will be wrong with your child. And she's pointing out that many of us

Right, just like point-blank telling someone in such a snarky manner that THEIR SEXUAL ABUSE WASN'T REAL. Give me a break. Hypocrite, much?

You give gifts to make other people happy, not to make you happy? So when they feel uncomfortable about your gift, you don't realize that it doesn't make them happy?

"Shut the hell up and take it"? What do you call that? I think it's pretty funny that you don't even seem to realize how insanely aggressive and dickish your first comment is. Instead of demanding your actions not be "over-analyzed," maybe you should actually take a fucking second to analyze the actions of others.
