I wonder what fields are more likely to have all make panels. It is depressing to see mostly white and male panels. They can't find any non white or female experts? Do they even think to look?

She went deaf at age two. She was also born weighing only two lbs.
I had to look up the Body Miller pictures, and several articles about them state that while the texture/consistency they exhibit is a result of inflammatory processes, the blue color was imparted by the medical staff using an imaging dye.
He’s not entirely wrong, the lumps certainly are the product of inflammation and a “misguided” immune response. They just are white/grayish/pinkish in their natural form. :) And yeah, they ARE really freaky.
First off, I’m so sorry you have to suffer through all this. Doctors can be SO frustrating to deal with when they encounter unusual presentations. And you’re right, they are under so much pressure to raise clinical revenue and “improve outcomes” that they are highly unlikely to think outside the box.
It’s easier for people to shrug off pain as ‘all in your head’. Doesn’t help me as I struggle with chronic abdominal pain issues daily and have to argue with doctors any time I talk to them that yes, I take meds, yes, I’ve done the therapy, no, it hasn’t helped. It’s as though these people think we enjoy having to go…

I usually get all cynical and annoyed by all the fame-loving losers who jump on the "good guy" bandwagon once a celebrity dies. But everything I've heard about Scott seems to indicate that he was a genuinely good guy who loved his job. So I've pushed my cynicism and annoyance to the side.
Initially I though the face you referenced couldn't possibly the face you made...until I watched the video and I just could not help myself but do the same one. Plus now I think I have a phobia involving these leeches.
As someone with a milder form of CP than the mother featured in the documentary, I'll say that smoking marijuana was most likely the best thing that happened to me.
Don't have cops for friends. The ones I used to be friends with were always trying to convince me to do something illegal in their presence, and often questioned me about various aspects of my life, apparently attempting to "catch" me admitting to something illegal (despite not having done the things they were fishing…
THIS. This so much. This is me, on top of a truly demanding job.
