I know you get these comments a lot, but... Dragon Age Origins wasn't good, and shouldn't be on this list. I mean yeah, it was okay. It was a nice game. But it isn't a classic. Hopefully Dragon Age Inquisition will be. But Origins had massive problems.

Erm, there was no need to explain anything. I have stated what was missing from the comment for it to be a joke. Ntbusso's comment was a perfectly valid response to both the title and the article. So we don't have a joke because there's no dissonance between what he's saying and what is in the article.

Sorry, but Ntbusso didn't actually make a joke. There is no indication in his post that he didn't read the article, but that would have been necessary for a joke - if it's missing, it's just the legitimate statement that this guy doesn't get why people don't read the articles they're commenting on.

Aren't you from Rock, Paper, Shotgun? What are you doing here? I mean it's great that you are here, but I'm a little bit surprised.

That thumbnail looks like we're back in 2004. Half Life 2 grahics. Very unfortunate, since the graphics actually seem to look better than that otherwise.

...Jason wrote "Free To Watch" in all caps as if it was a new business model of Valve. Since Free To Play mostly means that you can buy virtual hats from Valve, I made a joke about that, yeah. I thought it was a pretty obvious one, guess I was wrong.

Ehh, at least I tried at all. Instead of just making a "HL3 confirmed" joke.

Free To Play, the ominously-titled documentary about professional Dota 2 players, will be out on March 19, Valve just announced. It'll be Free To Watch on Steam.

This reminds me of Dishonored so much!! Every time I saw a ledge somewhere I was thinking "why doesn't he just blink over to- oh, right".

I agree with your general statement, but I believe you're mixing up "lore" and "writing". Most TES games are written badly - characters are shallow, plots are linear and boring and anything relating to the lore of the world feels heavy-handed.

You don't have to explain anything, I had no trouble understanding what you were doing. But like I said, it just wasn't funny. :>

There's no joke here, sorry. You're either a guy who didn't understand a joke or a guy who pretends to not understand a joke. Either way it's not funny. :/

No. That's not what "equating" means. "Equating" means that I think the two examples are the exact same situation.

I don't equate anything with beating someone to death. That is bullshit, because I didn't say it. I said that beating someone to death over an insult is extreme, just like harassing this guy and getting him fired for this tweet was extreme. And I said that nobody can be blamed for extreme (as in "not appropriate, not

No one's beating him to death, but obviously they did a similar thing when they ruined his career, mass-bullied him and sent him hate mail and so on.

If it makes way more sense if it was irony, you can usually assume that it is.

I always thought the mesh was the file where skeleton, model and texture come together?

He says that he deserved to be criticised for what he said. But all the hate was out of line, and it was very much a "thing that happened". I can get behind this distinction - overreactions are sort of by definition something you cannot be blamed for.

Exactly why I just couldn't get into Mass Effect. I didn't want to play Renegade or Paragon, I wanted to play something in the middle. I also didn't like the fact that they awarded you for doing side missions by giving you better outcomes to the main quest - if you feel compelled to do the side quests regardless of
