To be fair during the days of half-life i played it with the arrow keys, the numpad was where everything else was. Ins jump, ctrl crouch, numbers as is, etc etc. It wasn't till 5 years ago that I started using WASD

Simple solution? Make it so we don't need specialist equipment just to read a code and look it up on a database/google. Well. My first car was a peugeot 106. I vividly remember the buttons... or lack thereof. The most basic of trims. Didn't even have a cig lighter. But it did everything i needed it to.
