#BlackCarThiefLivesMatter
You mad af.
People who spend their lives protecting people who DON’T live a life of crime from those who do, should not be expected to risk their own lives to save a couple scumfuckingbags - which is what these little filthy worthless cunts were. Fuck ‘em.
“Leave Britney alone!!!”
My kid could get shot and killed by a murderer. That's not the same as my kid getting shot trying to rob a bank.
Each of your replies gets worse. That takes some ability!
I suggest you google something called “scene safety “. One of they key components of being a first responder is not to become victim yourself. There is no moral or professional obligation for the police to jump in the water and rescue you.
This is a quote from one of the parents:
I’m from the area and the “pond” they went into had 20-50 feet of reeds and muck before the water actually starts. There would be no way a human could have made it through that into the pond and rescued them. But of course the news won’t report that, they would rather sensationalize the girls deaths.
The police don’t have scuba equipment on-hand to stage a fucking night-time rescue at night in 15 feet of water in the dark with zero visibilty. It’s Florida, there’s alligators everywhere, and the headline of this story and the police demonization is mis-guided and ignorant.
Thank you. It’s also Florida, there’s fucking alligators all over the place, and people need to remember that staging an underwater rescue at night (without the right equipment) is borderline impossible.
Okay so it’s safe to say that you don’t steal cars because it can lead to jail or even death. That reality applies to most non-uberwealthy people as well. These aren’t children they’re teens - who were criminals in several separate incidents.
You seem fine with the hundreds of infants that died of malaria yesterday.
Nah. We’re saying a consequence of running from the cops is you might crash your car and die.
I agree with you, though I guess I don’t fault the police, in this instance, for not taking extraordinary risks to save them. In the more common, “suspect ran so I started shooting,” stories I pretty much never side with the police. But, “suspect ran, put themselves in danger and I’d have had to put myself in danger…
The issue is that since they ran from the cops that made them an unknown threat to the cops. You think I’m going to go diving into a lake, in Florida (home to gators and poisonous water snakes) in the dead of night in the HOPES that I can save what I believe is someone in the midst of grand theft auto? Come on.
Fuck you! Nic is right.
All choices have consequences.
