Trump isn’t the problem, or rather he’s not the main problem. The problem is the christian fascism of the Republican Party. Every other candidate put forward by the Reps would have had the exact same policies, only they were more polite about it.

If I in my worst nightmare scenario had envisioned a presidential cabinet that could hurt us all....I couldnt do as scary as the people Trump is picking now.
All of this is true and matches my thoughts... until they shut down all the planned parenthoods and a woman dies trying to deliver and unviable fetus.
That would be a huge miscarriage of democracy that would thrust us into a literal civil war (not this figurative one from whiney millenials on twitter).
IMO America wanted change. They were tired of professional politicians in bed with rich plutocrats while the rest of us get poorer. Trump presented himself as the anti-politician and won (despite the fact he’s the rich plutocrat that is in bed with politicians). He’s just cutting out the middle man. This presidency is…
I’m sure many of you will ask in the comments why this is relevant to video games. I’ll expand on my answer to that question from our last AMA: Politics are in everything, including video games. Developers make decisions about breast physics, how to depict black men, what body type indicates male strength, whether to…
Oh, I have a feeling it’s going to be more like a return to the 1880s instead of the 1980s or 1990s. Trump’s plans include deregulating everything from emissions on cars to banking to the internet. Hilarious that he pandered and ran on the platform that corporations are reaming us all and stealing our wealth and pay,…
As much as we love the virtual life we carry, sometimes the real life affects so much, it’s important to see what kind of people you are hanging out to enjoy your things, for example this new revelation than there’s so much hate for mexicans and muslims in the US...
Who are these people? I see tons of racists now…
I’ll say it before and I’ll say it again, we have essentially elected Lex Luthor as president. And I’m not talking about the smart but egotistical Lex Luthor of the comics or DCAU, I’m talking about the Lex Luthor of the DC Murderverse (Yes the one who thought giving a person a jar of his own piss was a perfect…
Thank you for this. It gives those of us terrified of the future a little relief to see everyone everywhere speaking out against him.
The reality is, as always, likely to be worse than hoped but better than feared. Trump has little interest in policy details - this will be a government of conservative GOP career politicans, a return to the Reagan and first Bush administrations by the looks of those he’s chosen as his allies.
I feel like the American Experiment has failed. There has never been before as large an electoral gap between every category of people in this country. Urban vs. the Rural, Educated vs. Not, Men vs. Women, Whites vs. PoC, etc.
“I do remember the Right being pretty upset when Obama took office. 8 years later, tempers cooled about it and look where we’re at.”
He’s not going to be able to do anything for them, is the point. He lied to their faces and they ate it up.

I am not bleeding from my eyes, I’m bleeding from my wherever.
I know she didn’t win, it’s been all over the news.
I don’t think most Trump supporters are white supremacists. But it would be a lie to say Trump didn’t run a racially divisive campaign and some of the top people he picked to be in his cabinet have a history of promoting divisive immigration and voting laws. To ignore that is to ignore reality.
A few of my Trump voting coworkers are already backing off on the rhetoric they were spewing as early as Monday. “No matter who won, we were screwed anyway so I chose the one who cares about American jobs” bs. I think deep down in their heart they thought he would lose but just couldn’t bring themselves to vote for…
I am a white male married into a Mexican-American family and I am fearful of what a Trump America means to my family and the populace at large.
