So...the better question is why not buy a Z51 Corvette?

I fail to see how this is superior to just etching a unique QR code into each casting at the first machining step...

You have to see, Alfa is a lot like Aston Martin. Performance is important but character is the utmost standard for these cars. It won't perform as well as it's counterparts, but it honstly won't matter. It's an Alfa, dare i have to say more?

I imagine that's basically the direction the series is heading, but you never know.

That's all quite logical, but following this principle FD cars will end up as sideways top fuel dragsters with matching tyres.

Sorry, but I stopped reading after you thought a 235 section tire is "wide"

Speed.

I like to define drifting the same way that the supreme court tried to define pornography

Can someone explain to me why this is better than a car with 1/100th the power and traction? Isn't it really a power to traction issue and you could get the same results with much less effort? Why not just run really narrow tires and keep everything else stock?

Meh, could have been worse.

Thats a bit of a wide net you threw there. When most people say Paul got them into cars, they mean the movies that display the car culture got them enticed. Since he was one of the stars, its natural to say he was the reason. Obviously it goes beyond him, and into the plots, the people, and of course, the cars.

So what is engine fire protocol? Shield eyes/face and then open hood?

they had all kinds of insane little engineering problems, like all the fasteners are stainless steel because it turns out that the carbon fiber was accelerating rust. I'll do another post at some point.

His rear suspension is all like

I didn't know "making it rain" on strippers was considered "work".

53 combined vs 261 (probably closer to 200 EPA)

Being friends should mean you would NOT want to money-grub off of his death.
