Alonso as a person? What for?

dude, the Z31 was on an entirely different ugly level. The Z32 was a departure from previous Z's, but I don't think it was ugly. The z31 was ugly.

I had read somewhere (maybe here?) that they'd already confirmed the lower model would just be a smaller displacement V8.

Seems like a pretty cheap move if you ask me. Guy cuts the corner, uses the stratos as a back stop because he overcooked it, knocks the stratos into the guard rail? Not cool.

Nothing wrong with that ;)

I would think it would have to be every drop, in one way or another, right? Sweat, exhaled, or excrement. To my knowledge, water doesn't actually get broken down into hydrogen and oxygen in your body anywhere (I could be wrong, I ain't a doctor), but if it's not eventually rejected, your body would retain it.

I remember reading elsewhere about manned mars missions. They were proposing on-board filtration systems. Think still-suits from Dune, but on a space-craft level instead of personal level. Every drop of water you consume apparently eventually gets rejected by your body in one way or another.

It was designed to be welded (not riveted), and was bolted together instead.

Just...awesome. COTD right here.

I'm just going to assume this says "WHY DID YOU TURN?!" in Russian.

Hey guys, just an FYI to the authors...this post broke my google reader. There have been a few posts which have done this since the new update.

This is actually a really good point...

Same here. I guess that means our left feet are capable, at least. I drive a stick shift car daily, though. I don't know how I would incorporate this into my routine....

How interesting. I was wondering about all the random capitalization while transcribing stuff from that picture.

unfortunately, this car will never be on the same relative price-point the beetle was :(

I would have annotated all this in the german-labeled picture you posted above, but if you can annotate pictures in the article, I haven't figured out how yet. German is amazing.

What exactly is NuOppo? I'm a little confused about the difference between NuOppo and oppositelock?

I think the issue is that he's trying so hard to let everyone know he doesn't care what it looks like, when in fact, he does. He WANTS it to look like crap, so that people will think, "man, that kid is cool because he just gives no fucks about what his car looks like." He really does though.

Why did this show up in my Jalopnik RSS feed?

This is exactly what I was thinking when I read the article. 13 HP at 4 psi? He's probably mixing up wheel hp and crank hp. Sure enough. This is a pretty large oversight...
