I have the 1.8 and I'm considering this for the 40mm alone. 2.8 isn't THAT big of a difference, will definitely be a daytime lens.

I haven't seen any consumer panels at that resolution, just a few exorbitantly priced commercial ones. It's not going to happen in any short order.
Pretty much all of my friends do the same. They like the hardware, and a few of them use OSX for content creation and manipulation, but just about all of them want to be able to do whatever they want with it, but mostly gaming ;)
3840X2400? You're hilarious. Feasibly, why do you think that would ever happen? It just doesn't make ANY sense to jump the resolution up that high.
There is nooooo way the effects were 30 fps on the PSX. The frame rate may have been 30fps but it certainly didn't animate at that speed ;)

The effects on the PSX were like, 10-15fps at best. They were baaaaaaaaaad. I don't remember the PSP being much different.
