I’m already dropping $60 for games released three decades ago and Nintendo expects me to figure out a way to play without having my neck craned upwards at 90°?

It is like they set out from the beginning to make their products just shitty as hell. It is insane to me, but in reality why would they do anything different? Look at some of the replies I’ve gotten already.

Yea I dont see the point. If you have a decent PC you can just download RetroArch and load the core for any retro system you want. If you have a processor that is 3.ghz or higher you can emulate NES and SNES games almost perfectly and have a bunch of video and controller options. Not to mention downloading as many

Their product designers are true innovators of finding new ways to fuck up their products.

Who gives a shit. This is a $60 unit that has no instruction manuals for the games (QR codes? Fucking really?), no home button AND THE CORDS FOR THE CONTROLLERS ARE THREE FEET LONG.

Jason, I think you are one of the reasons why I created this account and started commenting here in kotaku. So, with a heavy heart, I must confess something to you. You don’t know how scared I get every time I see you post an article on whatever I am waiting on (game/console) and hoping is not a delay. I still love

This need a bigger headline.

My gut tells me we’ll see great improvement. The game was an early 360 game that was poorly optimized at that. Still my favorite RPG of last gen by a country mile.

Oh Shit. All I wanted for backwards compatibility was this and RDR. Happy day!

If you do plan on playing it, please don’t skip the text stories that pop up as memories. Some of the most moving stories that really provides much needed back story to Kaim.

if you like stylized cutscenes and really good writing/voice acting (think shadow hearts) with a classic JRPG style combat system but old skool.. like.. mages are really mages and can’t take a beating, warriors belong in the front.. then this is the game for you.

Awwwww nice, that game was a hidden gem. Truly the height of the JRPG genre, I’d say the pinnacle personally.

Now that it’s backwards compatible I won’t be surprised if Microsoft puts the downloadable version on their store sometime soon. I mean, even if you have the disc that’s what you’re playing, may as well get some extra money by selling it.

Okay fine, I’ll buy an Xbox One. Geez.

That game was so gorgeous and well designed, and the music was particularly brilliant. Sadly as others have noted, it felt more like a Final Fantasy game then most of the titles from Square Enix since 2001.

FUCK YES!!!!

That's exactly what Light Yagami would say...

Are you shitting me? I am totally fine with delay. What I am shitting about is that Jason seems to be the only one writing articles about delayed games. Jason, I have a serious question for you. Did you find a book called the DelayNote? Do you just write game titles in this and then they get delayed?

I’m completely fine with this. Thought I was gonna have to choose between Fractured But Whole and Gravity Rush 2. I just hope Ubi doesn’t release against Persona 5, cuz there’s no way I’m giving up that game for South Park.

Completely reasonable to be holding off. I agree there’s no killer app.
