But they didn’t. Hell, that would have been an interesting plot development. Stop Enchantress before the government bombs them all to hell. Except the fact that the Avengers already did that.

The other point of the Suicide Squad is to send them in when you don’t want to risk losing people you care about. This also is pointless if you send them in with a bunch of your own men.
How would a giant sky portal caused by the most powerful being in existence not be, if not world ending, a pretty damn huge threat.
They couldn’t stop a handful of dudes, don’t see why they could stop a bomb. They were clearly some threat, otherwise her plan wouldn’t have hinged on destroying all of those military facilities.
Pretty sure taking out the world-ending threat would be more important than seeing if the Squad was viable.
They took them out with some fairly small bombs. And we’re really not sure how far away Waller was. Plus, they could have done it after rescuing her.
Also, why didn’t they just drop a bomb on her, Incubus, and their world-ending machine? Apparently the solution to all of their problems was “explosion” so why’d they need the Squad anyway?
I don’t know what people were expecting
And I suppose the Wachowskis timejumped to the future and admired GOTG before they made The Matrix.
cheesy plot line
But the phone wasn’t government issued.
Holy shit, that is awful.
Don’t forget the mustache and the toothpick.
So much this. Everyone is creaming all over themselves because “Han Solo and Chewbacca origin story!”
Well let’s look at Ant-Man. It grossed $180.2 million domestically and $339.1 million internationally. Studios see approximately half of domestic box office and a quarter of international*. So that means that Disney made $90.1 million and $84.8 million, for a total of $174.9 million. The movie cost $130 million to…
It made almost 4 times its budget, which is a modest success. And it’s one of my favorite MCU movies.
Exactly my point.
Then it’s a good thing they aren’t screen actors.
But we’re still getting movies like Ant-Man from Marvel.
I’d say no, because it’s not really a conundrum, and it doesn’t need adding to.
