He wasn’t given the movie in 2006, he pitched it to them in 2006. Huge difference. They didn’t go, “Hey, Edgar, we want to do an Ant-Man movie, get on that.” He went to them and said, “I want to make an Ant-Man movie,” and they said, “Not right now.”
The rule is 2 times the budget to break even, 3 times the budget to turn a successful profit.
