Historically they didn’t do anything, since they’re mythological.

I personally put it in the same category as Shaun of the Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, etc., where it’s simultaneously a parody, love letter and fantastic entry into a genre.

Nolan’s already out. He barely wanted to be involved with MoS. He’s only got an Executive Producer credit on BvS, and that’s likely just because of his work on Man of Steel.

The reviews kinda make me want to see it more. I didn’t have much interest in it before, but now I have to see it just to see for my own eyes if it’s truly that bad.

It’ll probably just be a set for Lego Dimensions.

I.... never said they didn’t? I feel like you’re having a completely different conversation. All I’m saying is that the Blade put on screen isn’t really a superhero movie, regardless of the source material.

Sure, in the comics. But not in the movie.

Some people are really having a hard time grasping the first scene part. Plus, X-Men’s real protagonists are Wolverine and Rogue. The movie is about them becoming X-Men.

That's the second movie.

Sure, but it's not the topic at hand.

Thor started with a flashback and then planning for the coronation. But he was already Thor at that point.

Because it doesn't have superhero elements. He's not a costumed crime fighter, he's a leather clad vampire hunter. If you didn't know it was based on a comic book, you'd never think to include it with superhero movies.

Different timeline, same universe.

But in the second movie there’s this puzzle/test thing that can only be opened by a Divergent because reasons. So there’s clearly something special about them.

It’s been brought up, and I thought of it when making the comment, but I agree that it’s not really a superhero movie.

But even if it was, it wouldn’t fit.

But it’s not the first scene.

Seriously, I don’t give a shit about Peter Parker. Peter Parker sucks. That’s a huge part of his character. Parker sucks, Spider-Man is awesome. Don’t make me go all J Jonah Jameson just to see some Spider-Man.
