Meanwhile, in Germany...

Definitely stupid to do this when you’re a kid who has no clue about the limits of your car and in an unknown traffic situation. On one hand part of me enjoys seeing guys do speeds like that in cannonball record attempts, but most people doing that are generally older and more experienced with what a car does at its

More importantly, how many furlongs per fortnight?

Not related to the article, but according to Kinja Support they deployed some changes to the comment section last Friday. They seem to be showing up for me now, how about you guys?

How did they manage to pull over a Mercedes doing 191?

Yeah man, got to make sure technicians aren’t *checks notes* making a side income in a completely unrelated field.

1 highway, 0 city.

Only about 500 a year, typically.

I am very much in the camp of letting people do what they wish with their money (even if it is sometimes stupid) as long as it doesn’t directly hurt someone else, but for some reason paying $8,400 for a sticker on the outside is really pissing me off. I realize that it is a drop in the bucket of the overall ridiculous

I’ve seen one once here in Louisville. I did a u-turn to catch up and check it out. It was being driven by an at minimum septuagenarian, perhaps octogenarian, with a Pomeranian in his lap. The whole situation made me smile.

Your head is in the right place, but your playing the wrong sport.

When you have a net worth of say, 9 or 10 figures, this is so little money that it doesnt matter. when your dividends/interest per month that spin off of your investments can account for hundreds of millions a year what is 6 or 700k? Its not even worth pausing one second to think about.

The point of this car is not reason. Its objective merits are irrelevant (and probably not very “good” compared to rivals).

I still remember when Motortrend claimed that the GS350 was a better 5-series than the F10 5-series. Too bad BMW has since come out with a new generation, whereas Lexus has let the GS stagnate and fall behind.

“You buy a Lexus GS because you want to eventually have a 911 GT3, too”

BMWs are fine as a, “one car solution.” The low TCO of a Lexus GS is what makes it easier to have more than one car.

Hey now, if a GS-F ever gets cheap enough on the used market, I’d totally buy one!

Lexus should have killed the uglier, albeit better selling, ES and made all of those buyers get the RWD of the GS.

I’ve day-dreamed about one of those for a couple years. Great choice.

Toyota stopped investing on this thing a lonnnnnng time ago. Not much money to be made there. It was trailing behind the G80 bad. Smart maybe but killing off a well known product? hmmm... I always liked the GS. Shame, many Japanese brands let their products rot here and there in this hyper competitive industry.
