You've probably never heard of the Alé which gets 92 mpg and yes today's engines burn 97% of the fuel, except most of that is burned during the exhaust stroke which you can clearly see on any engine that has had the exhaust manifolds removed and blue flames are exiting the exhaust ports of the cylinder heads.
Would it not be cheaper to just buy the truck with a diesel engine for better fuel economy?
