There's a degree of truth to this. This has been an issue between two sides who both forget the fact there's a vast ocean of people in between them who don't even know this issue has existed, because they don't even read video game websites or have twitter accounts. they just...play video games.

This just reminds of the somehow comical fact that one of the most fan-friendly developers in the world (Bethesda Game Studios) is owned by one of the most anti-fan publishers in the world (Zenimax).
