@Sam: Better off going as Gluttony from FMA.

@SprinklesTDD: One of my friend's friends looks just like him, is already built and...is a geek and goes to conventions!

Also make sure you look the part. I guess the right face or hair can be forgiven, but someone...um...larger... cosplaying as a skinny, hot girl (Rei from Evangelion, for example) just doesn't work.

The concept, I'm excited about. Especially from the preliminary pictures.

@em37ib: I agree. Just watched it too, on a whim from this article. It kept going, and was interesting, but, as you said, nothing special.

@truthtellah: So you don't read the comic you just bought on New Comic Wednesday?

@dragonfliet: Heh, I'm young, and haven't seen anything else like Sky Captain.

I really like this movie. The style is probably the first thing that is intriguing, but the story isn't that bad and, in the end, it is different and might I say original enough?

I can understand the concern. Reflecting Peter Hall's concern with his friend, I agree that not many people know what this is about, because the trailers do not give much more than the dreamworld setting and the fact that "I have to steal [the idea]" quote, especially when the movie is deeper than simply stealing an

Hilarious! Still fits with the 80's theme too, which was why it worked. Great job.

@Derek Pegritz: Yeah, at least as far as awesome, summer action movies go.

"But it's not a film that adults are going to want to watch on their own, really."

I don't know if I'm excited for Chris Columbus to take Superman. I liked HP1 and HP2 a lot, or enough, but those are kid movies. I think the movie would be better off just letting Nolan(s) write/direct the whole thing.

@Elak Swindell: Yes, I've tried that too. But a lot of the images (like the ones here) just are not big enough, or at the right angels.

I'm still waiting for some really cool, lightcycle-zooming, disk-flashing Tron Legacy wallpapers to appear.

@Methusalen: Heh. Well, when I first saw them, I was trying to figure out just how they could work, like tracking your movement or something, but then I realized we would not see the characters' views so dropped the issue.

@palinode: I was thinking the same thing, about the goggles. It's all fun, no need to worry. Just watch.

@NaraDance: Yeah. I immediately thought Young during that scene as well.

Great episode, if a little rushed (it could have been spread out into the first two episodes) and presenting a deus ex machina for proving Leena just fine.

Sounds lovely. So hard to find a good geek lady-friend amongst the "normal" ones (and then think of further prospects). Hahaha!
