well to be fair, the xbox one was only originally intended to periodically check in online, not to remain online constantly, otherwise i can sympathize with a dev team that was producing a game with a system that took advantage of a constant online connection, but that is not the case.

The problem people have, is that they try to convince you that these "systems" that they implement into their games are part of the vision for the product they want to make, when in reality, these "systems" are designed around combating piracy first, game experience enhancing second.
