Well, no one really paid that because they wouldn’t take home that much income. It’s just on the income over a certain amount around 200 thousand. It forced folks to invest that dough and keep the economy humming.

I’m just kinda baffled by this notion of a person proudly proclaiming their ignorance on a given topic, and then using that ignorance as a reason for a thing not to be newsworthy, as if their ignorance is the final cause of an item’s newsworthiness.

People complain about massive amounts of government paperwork, but it is that same paperwork which helps inform things like congressional legislation and major supreme court decisions decades later. Sure, some of it, like this, sounds pointless, but documenting everything that goes on in the government is a good thing.

Remember when people didn’t bitch about a free website posting articles they didn’t like but also didn’t have to read? I don’t either.
