Sigh... that’s the point of game previews.

Exactly. And I'm really enjoying breakpoint as well. Seems like a definite purchase for me. Seems a lot more refined than wildlands, with smoother animations and some cool additions. Definitely doesn't feel even close to division 2.

To be fair, you can still use the same gun throughout the game.

Agree’d. Having played Division 1 & 2 for many hours, as well as Wildlands... my 7 hours or so of playing Breakpoint so far really just feels like Wildlands overall (right down the the annoying vehicle controls). The gear/loot system has no resemblance to D1/2 other than it’s a loot system, of some kind.

I feel like the people who are saying this haven’t actually played the Division 2.

Quantum Break’s unique shooting mechanics and level design were some of my favorites of that year. To the extent that I hope the game’s world is revisited again soon. But damn, according to the reviews, Control seems like they took everything that worked from QB and their earlier games and went hog wild, and I’m here

Yeah, how dare a video game reporting site report on developments in a persistent video game?! It’s not like they report on patches or events in other games past release, like say a major tournament, or an update for another famous disaster MMO that’s actually fixing things, or an old version of a big name MMO that’s

I like reading about it

The Kotaku staff seems to run a bit younger than I, so forgive my assumption, but I’m guessing you were a kid when you saw The Blair Witch Project? Because, while it was certainly influential in the way it spawned a number of “found footage” films and certainly a box office success, I’d argue (as someone who was in

After only two posts I know for an absolute certainty that you are a complete douche.

wow, uh i thought you were a gamer? back in my day, i got called every name under the sun in mw2 and i didn’t get offended. now gamers (more like snowflakes, amirite?) are clutching their pearls because a developer made jokes in an announcement? can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen lmao

“Internet hate mob abuse” == “snarky attitude”?

The snark is there, but like, is it REALLY there? How much of this is the sensitive fee-fees of people who just REALLY want this to be on one store front to save some finger clicks and won’t admit they are fanboys of another product?

Because it deserves to brushed off. Get over yourselves and download the damn launcher if you want your game.

I didn’t read it as ‘at least we’re not Hitler’, mostly because that’s a strawman you just created, but more of a ‘grow the fuck up, just install another launcher on your PC, it’s not a big deal, stop the incessant whinging’, which I think is pretty reasonable and I respect them for having the stones to say it.

Everyone complains about benefits fraud and poor people supposedly cheating the system, but when rich corporations do it it’s just a feature of doing business.

The tax watch isn’t explicitly saying that it’s illegal. It not being illegal and being a complex game of laundering is precisely what they’re criticizing. You’ve offered up nothing to the debate except advocacy for a devil who has plenty already.

Sure you can. Laws have two components, the letter of the law and the intent. It’s the whole point of having a judiciary branch.

I don’t know your gender, but let’s presume for the sake of discussion that you are a man. When you wear an article of clothing, what are your reasons for doing so? Is it because it is comfortable? Or your favorite color? Or it fits well? Or you like the way it makes you look? Or maybe it wasn’t a conscious decision

These comments are always some variation of “I wish to shoot the messenger.”
