The missions are completely soloable. They just scale in difficulty of you add players and matchmaking is available if you want to find other players. The rpg stuff comes in with perks/levels and weapons stats. Not to mention crafting materials

Loving the game so far. It feels like a solid mix of a rpg heavy cover shooter

It's the first one. I definitely know they are 1000x better then me but I have no clue what the heck is going on. Maybe I should watch some street fighter tourneys I at least know what's going on there somewhat. Same thing for Starcraft where I'm fascinated with the skill level but don't fully understand the strategy…
