It would be great if we could have another Devil May Cry, or a sequel to DmC. But doubtful that is going to happen. Open world games as of late have been my go to. AC / Red Dead etc. Not sure what it is about them but those seem more fun. It might be that you can just go explore the world with minimal restrictions…

It's awesome that these games exist and people love them. But as someone who tried it and discovered that it's not for me, I can see why others might not like it. Even though players tell me it's a pretty fair game, it makes sense why others feel the opposite.
