Idk about the Chryslers, but in an Audi with the pretty much the same exact shifter, the parking brake is applied as soon as the door is opened in any gear other than Park... Works pretty good. I get in and out of several of them a day and haven’t been run over even a little bit.

I like weird things! Now I’ll forever remember this (mostly) useless fact, and for that I thank you.

I’ll be damned... Thought you were being sarcastic then took a closer look. I’d always thought it was perfectly symmetrical and therefore had no right/wrong orientation.

Friend of a co-worker works for Tesla and what I’ve heard second-hand from him is that Tesla’s first 250k cars sold would be eligible for the tax break. So by the time the Model 3 hits production, likely only the first few thousand will qualify since the roadster, S & X will have already taken care of most of the 250k

Glad to hear someone around here is working to keep us safe from the Reds.

They really don’t. Does it need a gas cap and a tailpipe too? These features were necessitated because of the big hot noisy things we used to use to burn dead dinosaurs and make stuff spin around. We’re past that shit.

So happy we ditched the fugly fake grill; “yeah I’m electric, so I don’t have a big gaping hole in my face. What of it?”

Uhhhh... You may be reading too much into this. The series would allow us to make cars capable of performance possibly so extreme it might injure or kill a human occupant during normal operation. I think it’s an exciting way to push automotive engineering even further. Many of the ideas or technologies that come out

The percentage of the population buying the cars isn’t even the main factor that will create this tipping point. A tipping point happens through the spreading and exposure of a thing or idea to the general populace. I don’t own a Tesla or have the money to at the moment, but I already know I’d love to buy my BRZ in

Money something something skill. Many H’s and A’s. This is very satisfying to watch.

Any one of those. Doesn’t matter which. Just gimme one.

I did the big door openings. Everything else is big on an SUV; why not the ingress/egress access? Many of the people I’ve seen driving Navigators of yesterday aren’t exactly diminutive.

If half the people complaining about the look of this thing could actually afford one, Nissan would make enough money to build each one a custom body so they would stfu.

I feel like the Model S just looks like “generic premium 21st century car”. It’s not unattractive, but it has no real character of its own. The model X just looks like they inflated the S, and that’s not a good look in my opinion. I so hope that the 3 is a little sharper though because I may eventually buy one if it

These things were great! Pretty sure I might be able to dig out mine from the ‘04 NYAS.

I certainly don’t give a shit what he thinks, but it’s also very entertaining to hear about it.

I also drive mules every day at work. Got a friend of mine employed as a shop tech recently and in his first week he went to the crusher to see how the whole process is handled/documented... He was devastated haha. The cars he saw crushed were wagons that aren’t sold in our market (go figure) so it had been a real

Obviously not; the penalty of course needs to be in proportion with the crime committed. I was referring to cases similar to this one where someone directly and deliberately acted against another person.

I’ve always felt that, when you violate the rights/safety of someone else, you forfeit your own entitlement to those things. Cases like this especially.

Wasn’t exactly working on it, but...
