That's really strange. Slowdown is minimal for me and I played right through the whole thing and didn't find it detracted from the experience in any great way. I guess some things just annoy people more than others. You should try it again though, it really is an excellent game!

His predictions are definately a little premature. The internet infrastructure across the planet is simply not up to the job of distributing/streaming games in the manner that he is intending.
