I think it depends on what is changed as to who feels hard done by said changes. The Battlefield games have always suffered from having extremely powerful weapons/vehicles in the right hands. Making changes in this respect wouldn't be detrimental to the average gamer and if anything it would improve their games.

I wouldn't go that far mate. The jets were horribly overpowered throughout, they changed the stingers to lock faster but have half the lock range which made it worse. If you had no good jet pilot on your team it meant vehicles were cancelled for that round.

Thing that really bothers me about Battlefield 3(which I really enjoyed) was how horribly overpowered the jets were.

You do realise that quite a lot of players are happy to pay for things like cosmetic changes when they aren't forced into paying to be able to play a game competitively?(i.e. the loads of games with decent F2P models)
