I feel better having watched that this morning. Slow-mo car porn... (not talking about the half-naked fat dude).

Why does the fact that it's made of cement negate any usefulness?

Who says that? - Only those people that have never drive one, or can't drive.

You sir are correct.. :)

Toyota 3ur-fe

Not to mention, you can grab a supercharger straight from Toyota that makes them 520+hp... why you don't see these in every hi-po build is beyond me.

The 3UR-FE... most commonly seen as the 5.7l in the Tundra, Seqouia, and some Lexus SUVs. 381hp, 401ft/lbs tq. Super modern and techy, unparalleled fuel economy for the power. I always cringe when I see people doing LS builds (especially in a Toyota drifter or the like) because they could (should?) be using one of

This is a pretty well-appreciated engine... bulletproof and amazing by anyone's standards. Modified like crazy and used for custom builds everywhere.

I would say the opposite... these are likely the most over-appreciated engines in the world. They only last as long as they do because of rigorous maintenance schedules and very close scrutiny by people not looking to die. It's an outdated design that can't compare to a modern car engine in terms of weight, power,

Hmmm... someone from Mazda saying Maaawzda... have I been wrong all along?

@sfmikee - totally agree.. never liked corvette or corvair either.. the 'ette' kind of made sense on the chevette, because it was a smaller car.. but all those names sucked.

Crap... so now i'm looking on craigslist..

The Chevette... have to disagree here. The idea wasn't a bad one... compact hatch, rear wheel drive... sure, poorly executed - but it was an interesting platform. I'm no GM fan, but this really could have had potential. A modern day version would be most welcome!

In a FORD board room; We're receiving complaints from citizens in our target demographic - they're too fat and out of shape to get into car that's parked.

WE BUILD EXCITEMENT - then let you down horribly.

Exactly... the Pontiac Vibe is actually a Toyota Matrix (just made more fugly by pontiac interior design). Engine and mechanics are totally Toyota. I am sure there are more examples as well.

You could be on to something here... seriously.

Sure, if price is the only thing you are comparing...

I'm a Toyota guy, through and through, but man I just can NOT get behind this grille styling or most of the design language used on this and all current Lexus cars... I really really wish they would take a step back and choose a different path. This looks to be gt-86 based, no? I'd love to have this version of it with

Right... gonna call BS on all this because.. A: Scion doesn't 'make' anything. B: a shooting brake is a 2 door by definition. Room for a 4 door sedan? Interesting but doubtful.
