At some point, preferably before I die of old age, I would like games to offer a “Hybrid” mode for graphics settings which will dynamically transition between high fidelity/low FPS and low fidelity/high FPS depending on whats happening

Weird, it’s almost like under-funding consumer and industry watchdog agencies hurts people.

I’m not typically a huge fan of the police (love the band, though) but I am happy this went down. As an automotive and weekend track day enthusiast, it sucks that we often get lumped in with people who actively endanger the public, whether cutting lanes recklessly in traffic in a performance car or performing stunts

0% chance it will play out like that- Calling it now, she’s going to tragically die of cancer instead. There’s just no way anyone would get away with shooting a child dead in a PG movie after 1985.

Game Pass is a silly subscription service? This is a phenomenally stupid take.

And most humans have time for a grand total of 1 or 2 of them

video games need a giant crash like in the 80s and reset this shit timeline we are currently in

That’s like asking Yoko Taro to put female characters in *actual* clothes

Underwater, in the Sky, and now Space. Wonder what Levine’s beef with terra firma is?

Cautiously optimistic. Last Bio game was Infinite over 10 years ago. Also was the first title I played on my first self-built PC, since it came with my GPU. Liked Bio1 and 2 well enough on 360, but firing Infinite up on a decent PC

Intrigued, although was a bit taken back just how much like Bioshock the gameplay looked. Which wouldn’t be a problem if the game was just called Bioshock: Judas, but if you are going to do something new, I’d prefer for it to feel different.

I challenge Ken Levine to make a game not set in a weird city sequestered away from the rest of society.

She is getting way more attention out of this now that it’s posted on national websites than they ever would in a carpool lane. Maybe she agreed to split the proceeds with the school if they made a big fuss over it?

I keep trying this game and every time I run right into a wall of the worst dialogue any game has ever had. It’s just good guys dimwittedly explaining the simplest possible things to each other while occasionally saying inscrutable bullshit about hearts, and bad guys popping it say stuff like “Stay back, for we split

It and Blue Dragon are forgotten by basically everyone who hasn’t played them, and that’s Microsoft’s fault, really. Those two games need PC ports. But because they weren’t megahits, it’s not happening.

Kotaku at it’s finest, finding issues where the are none.

I’ll start by pointing out that I’ve never played a Persona game, so I have no idea what their political/ideological/sociological underpinnings are.

Would be nice if they ported this to PC and consoles. Without the MTX.

If Aerith has future knowledge, her hesitation makes sense.  As it stands, despite losing her life, she would know that Cloud’s side ultimately wins against Sephiroth.  Changing things by destroying the whispers doesn’t necessarily mean that won’t happen, but it would mean making everything uncertain again.

Difference here is that Valve, at least seems to be a good employer/company. Can only remember like one story about a disgruntled x-employee from them in the past 10 years. Compared to other big game companies that regularly screw over their peons with crunch, bad wages and layoffs to appease the all important share

Battery heat soak. You can only draw so much current for so long out of any battery pack before the cooling system becomes insufficient and the EV needs to limit current draw or bad things happen (thermal runaway)
