I admitted to reading the headlines- I’m an American who only became interested in the Windsor’s when Andrew was busted.

It is so great that there have not been toys previously that emulated adult behavior so children could play act. I mean, what would have happened if our children (or got forbid, previous generations) were able to play farm, or school, or kitchen, or construction - both hammering stuff and digging holes in sand to

I work in medical insurance and I’ve been working on Covid inpatient claims throughout the pandemic. The most common underlying condition I see on these claims for those under 50 is obesity. It’s very much not “bullshit”. It is a real risk factor for severe Covid.

They’ve already failed. Blaming the previous generation for not fixing their problems is how you know.

I would argue that this message is probably best communicated by a person of color (and indeed it has been many, many times).

overall this feels cringe.

It’s a huge problem.

I believe it. Tweeting vitriol 24/7 is not exactly a recipe for peace of mind.

I don’t think the reaction is technically what makes the bunny video great - I think she had a totally valid reaction being the game is as emotionally draining as it is. What IS hilarious is the timing of it, what she says at just the most perfect moment possible. It’s exactly what the developers had dreamed the

The tone towards Rebel Wilson commenting on her personal experience has the bite of Meghan McCain realizing women need maternity leave only after being pregnant. Why the hate? She didn’t advocate against something until she experienced it herself, and she wasn’t being tone deaf. It’s just apathy for apathy sake.

Sort of unnecessarily snarky to link Rebel’s 60lb loss to a 2013 Jezebel article about her and Melissa McCarthy making a pact to not lose weight.

Basically. I’m not expecting anything great, but at least he’ll be coherent and won’t be spouting conspiracy theories on Twitter every day.

The NYT, and these parents, need to mind their own fucking business. Whenever I hear parents talking about how their kids need to play less games or spend less time on the computer, THIS is what I think of:

I’m not “lucky” to have held senior roles, I’m light-skinned. I’m cisgender. I’m conventionally feminine in a way that is constantly culturally affirmed. I’m thin and able-bodied and always have been. I’m not “lucky” to have gone to college. I’m from a middle-class home. I was raised by people who talked to me about

I can’t tell whether your position is that: yes, she was raised in the community, but that doesn’t matter at all; OR that you still don’t buy it on any level — or both.

Based on that pic, I’d wager the colon was a hundred feet or so into the background, maybe around the area of that sloping trail.

Okay, so...how are people supposed to live without working? Universal Income? Who’s paying for that? The rich? We’re not going to tax the rich in any meaningful way, and anyway, so long as Those People can receive UI, it’s dead in the water.

Yeah, there are a lot of people right now coming to some big realization about the nature of work when the rest of us are “you’re a marketing wonk, yeah your job isn’t essential but good on you for just figuring that out today”

The main problem with sorting “essential/nonessential” is; how do you convince anybody to work if you eliminate all “nonessential” jobs?

Chronic Lyme is a fake diagnosis pushed by quack doctors. There seems to be a lot of overlap between the Chronic Lyme and anti-vaxxer communities.
