When the brake lights are illuminated, the higher intensity makes it VERY hard to recognize a co-located red turn signal. Check out the Nissan/Infiniti taillights with the dime-sized red turn signal within the brake light...

You’re probably right, I just like to pretend our government isn’t completely non-functional. Surely inexpensive safety regulations backed by solid research data aren’t a partisan issue.

It’s harder to differentiate, especially when you can only see part of the car or the signal was only blipped for a second. There’s no logical reason to have them the same colour.

There is no reason for red turn signals to still exist. They are much harder to see and just stupid.

They don’t want to use a brush to clean their car because it “will scratch my paint”, yet they’ll happily go through this type of car wash.

Ill gladly lose a couple tenths for 100x the FUN.
