It might not be an “official” mental disorder/phobia, but that doesn’t mean it’s not real for many people. I got a dog thing, and then didn’t play Warframe for a while. When I logged back in, I got a message that the dog’s DNA was unstable and it had dissolved into goo. I haven’t played Warframe since then :(
